Skiing, the most popular winter activity in Norway, is deeply embedded in the Norwegian culture. Most of the famous ski resorts are in the middle of Norway (Østlandet + Vestlandet). However, those in Southern Norway (Sørlandet) need not be disappointed! We have compiled for our dear Sørlendings a comparative list of all ski resorts accessible by road, including some by public transport.
Vennesla is a small village which lies half an hour drive from Kristiansand, and offers several exciting hiking possibilities which makes it possible easily to go from the urban surroundings of Kristiansand and experience countryside. If you want a hike that is easy to walk in a couple of hours then Tømmerrenna is the perfect choice.
Sometimes you need not travel very far from the city to experience the beauty and power of raw nature. “Den omvendte båt” is one such option which is easily accessible from Spicheren at Gimlemoen. The hike is almost 9km long. It starts close to the spicheren bus stop and stretches past Jegersberg. The walk leads you through a multitude of terrain – from wandering through dense forests to crossing bridges and walking past beautiful lakes. You can almost breathe the fresh and beautiful surroundings within you.
Want to swim in the lagoon, rent a boat and go kayaking or go on a hiking adventure – Bragdoya has all of these to offer.
